Steven R. Bowers, D.O., is a 2007 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Bowers is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association
Grace Fiorentino, D.O., is a 1997 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Fiorentino completed her post-graduate training at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, NJ, and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Physicians and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
Sara L. Gualtieri, M.D., is a 1994 graduate of the Faculty of Medical Science of Catholic University of Santiago of Guayaquil, Ecuador and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Atlantic City Medical Center. Dr. Gualtieri is Board Certified in internal medicine.
William E. Hooper, M.D. is a 1974 graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Rodger Williams General Hospital in Providence, R.I. Dr. Hooper is Board Certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the New Jersey Medical Society, the Atlantic County Medical Society and a former member of the American Society of Internal Medicine.
Peter R. Jungblut, M.D., M.B.A., was Vice President of Medical Affairs at Shore Medical Center from 2003 to 2012. He joined Shore Memorial Hospital in March of 2003 after serving as Medical Director at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, where he was involved in graduate medical education for acute inpatient care. He graduated from Weill-Cornell Medical College in 1994, and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago in 1997. From 1997 through 2001, he was a full-time clinician and served as Chief of Hospitalist Services for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle.
Howard M. Karp, D.O., F.A.C.P., has practiced internal medicine in our community since 1974 and is Board Certified by the National Osteopathic Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a graduate of Andrew Taylor Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in nephrology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Dr. Karp, a past president of the Medical Staff at Shore Medical Center, serves as Chairman of Shore’s Department of Medicine and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and is an active member of the Medical Staff Executive Committee.
Angelo Sparagna III, M.D., D.A.B.F.P., is a family medicine physician who has been practicing in our community for more than 30 years. Dr. Sparagna is a 1974 graduate of The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Newark, and completed his family medicine residency at Hahnemann Hospital. He has maintained Board Certification in family medicine since 1977. He is the former Vice President of Medical Affairs and a former Board member at Shore Medical Center.
